My laboratory uses the model system zebrafish to understand the mechanisms that guide cancer progression. A major focus in my group is determining how angiogenesis, the formation of blood vessels from pre-existing blood vessels, proceeds during tumor development and contributes to metastasis. For this, we use cutting-edge genome editing techniques for gene modification.
